The design of the trophies is rooted in a direct connection to the renewable energy trade show: the glass comes from high-voltage line insulators, the wood from a dead cherry tree recovered locally. The materials are not chosen for their appearance, but for the stories they carry.
The award ceremony organises a two-part ritual. Each laureate places a glass marble into the main Trophy, contributing to the collective memory of each edition. A second marble, set on a hand-turned wooden base, is then presented to them as a personal trophy.
The main object fills up over the course of ceremonies. It bears witness to past laureates and editions through the marbles, making visible the accumulation of recognised actions.
